This is Kins Voyage’s flagship Ladakh Bike Expedition — an 8-day, 7-night motorcycle journey through the most dramatic terrain on the planet. Starting and ending in Leh, you will ride through ancient monasteries, conquer Khardung La at 18,379 ft (one of the highest motorable passes on Earth), traverse the cold desert of Nubra Valley on a Royal Enfield Himalayan, and witness the hypnotic azure expanse of Pangong Tso stretching 134 km across the India-China border.
What makes this expedition extraordinary is our exclusive Stargazing Sessions at Pangong Tso and Hanle. Hanle is home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory and one of Asia’s designated dark sky reserves. At 14,800 ft with zero light pollution, the Milky Way is not just visible — it is overwhelming. You will see it naked eye, in full vivid color.
We cap every batch at exactly 25 riders. Not 30, not 40. Our guided session includes constellation mapping and the complete Milky Way arc visible to the naked eye. We then ride to Hanle — Asia’s premier dark sky reserve — for a second night session near the Indian Astronomical Observatory.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Land at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (11,562 ft). Our team receives you and transfers to hotel. Rest, hydrate, explore Leh Market at a slow pace. Welcome dinner with your 25 co-riders.
Trip Captain hosts full expedition briefing — route overview, safety protocols, altitude tips, and bike familiarization.
Still acclimatizing — sightseeing by vehicle today. Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Indus-Zanskar confluence, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa.
Evening: Bike allocation and mechanical briefing. Know your Royal Enfield before riding it at 18,000 ft tomorrow.
The expedition begins. Today you summit Khardung La at 18,379 ft — snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and views that make every kilometre worth it. Descend into the cold desert surrealism of Nubra Valley.
Evening: optional Bactrian camel ride on sand dunes, campfire under the mountains.
Ride the turquoise Shyok River corridor. As you approach Pangong at 14,270 ft, the first glimpse of that impossible blue-green lake leaves you speechless.
Check into lakeside camps. Sit by the water. Watch the sunset. Prepare for tonight’s stargazing session.
⭐ THE MOST SPECIAL DAY. Wake at 5:30 AM for Pangong sunrise — the lake turns from midnight blue to molten gold. After breakfast, ride toward Hanle via Rezang La War Memorial at 16,000 ft.
Arrive Hanle by evening. After dinner, step outside. No lights for 200 km in any direction. The Milky Way appears in full overwhelming arc. Our Trip Captain guides the full Hanle Stargazing Session including constellation mapping and telescope viewing at the Indian Astronomical Observatory.
Ride the wild Changthang Plateau — inhabited by nomadic Changpa herders and their pashmina goats. Arrive at Tso Moriri, a pristine lake at 14,836 ft, home to rare Himalayan birds.
The long ride home. River valleys, monasteries, mountain passes one last time. Arrive Leh for farewell group dinner. Trip Captain presents expedition certificates. These friendships last years.
Morning free for last-minute shopping — pashmina shawls, Tibetan jewelry, thangka paintings. Drop to Leh Airport as per your flight. You leave Ladakh. But Ladakh never quite leaves you.
